Mainstreaming Gender and Women’s Empowerment in Value Chain Development
Dates: 6th June 2018 – 30th September 2018
We have taken steps to develop a comprehensive framework and an ultra-light analytical tool for monitoring and evaluating our approach to gender mainstreaming and women’s empowerment in our related agriculture, nutrition, and value chain Innov4Ag project activities. The consulting team has been selected to lead this assignment. The aim is to pilot the tool to capture lessons with the goal that it will become a valuable resource for governments and other development partners in the future. An online discussion group is being set to engage with in-country gender experts and other key stakeholders from the seven project target countries (Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Kiribati, Marshall Islands and Vanuatu) to validate findings and discuss how the toolkit should evolve.
