The Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries (MAF), in collaboration with the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will be holding the 2nd Workshop to endorse Samoa’s National Action Plan for Agribusiness and Value Chain Development.
Workshop 2 builds on the outcome(s) of the first workshop held at the Tanoa Tusitala Hotel in early April 2019. Multiple stakeholders revised the Samoa National Action Plan and made changes to the draft that was developed in May 2018 in Fiji. Following the first workshop, a Focus Group made up of key experts were tasked to further refine the revised action plan. This was part of the validation process in working towards the second workshop where stakeholders will finalise and endorse the Samoa National Action Plan.
This work is part of national validation processes initiated under the regional Project “Promoting Nutritious Food Systems in the Pacific Islands” implemented in Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu.
